Description
We are seeking a Quality Control Specialist to ensure that all products and services meet quality standards and customer requirements. The Quality Control Specialist will be responsible for implementing and maintaining quality control systems, conducting inspections, and identifying and resolving quality issues.
Responsibilities
Quality Assurance:
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality standards, procedures, and specifications.
- Monitor and audit processes to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct regular quality audits and inspections.
- Review and approve quality control plans.
- Identify and implement quality improvement initiatives.
Product Quality:
- Inspect incoming materials and components for defects.
- Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met.
- Conduct product testing and analysis to verify quality.
- Identify and resolve quality issues.
- Implement corrective and preventive actions to address quality problems.
Supplier Quality Management:
- Evaluate and qualify suppliers based on quality standards and performance.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct supplier audits.
- Work with suppliers to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Documentation:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date quality records.
- Prepare quality reports and documentation.
- Review and approve quality-related documentation.
Customer Satisfaction:
- Respond to customer complaints and inquiries related to product quality.
- Collaborate with customer service and sales teams to resolve quality issues.
- Work with suppliers to improve product quality and reduce defects.
Authorities
- Inspection and Testing: The authority to inspect and test products and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Rejection of Non-Conforming Products: The authority to reject products that do not meet quality standards.
- Stoppage of Production: The authority to stop production processes if quality issues are identified.
- Initiation of Corrective Actions: The authority to initiate corrective actions to address quality problems.
- Resource Allocation: The authority to request additional resources, such as personnel or equipment, to improve quality.
- Decision-Making: The authority to make decisions regarding quality-related issues, within the scope of their role and responsibilities.

- Experience in quality assurance and quality control.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Proficiency in quality control tools and techniques.

Additional Responsibilities:
- Root Cause Analysis: Investigate quality issues to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
- Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and process efficiency.
Experience
- Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in quality control, including leadership roles.
- Skills: In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, etc.), regulatory compliance, and problem-solving techniques. Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Industry-Specific Experience: Experience in the manufacturing industry can be highly valuable.
- Certifications: Certifications in quality control, such as Six Sigma or ASQ certifications, can enhance a candidate's qualifications.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using quality control software, statistical analysis tools, and other relevant software.
- Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: The ability to identify and resolve quality issues, analyze data, and implement corrective actions.
